Notes and issues

  • When a video is published in a channel, and the channel is on a platform, how to represent this chain? A bit like a book published as part of a series with a publisher. But Youtube is not the publisher, its the platform, or is it?
  • When a book has a preface by someone, they can be mentioned as contributor. But how to express that their contribution is the preface? As a subtitle? As a qualifier note on the contributor statement?
  • Further distinguish "Person" using subclasses: Researcher vs. writer? Eighteenth-Century vs. 20th/21st-century figure? It would be useful to distinguish automatically between Rousseau and Locke on the one hand, Delon and Goulemot on the other. Adding years of birth would also be a way.
  • Explore Schemas to define data models for items and/or properties with at least some constraints; for example simple building blocks like: the property "has author(s)" can only be applied to items that are instances or subclasses of class publication; and it can only take items as object that are instances (or subclasses, if I instroduce them) of class "Person". And then of course also larger models for people, specific subclasses of publications, for publishers, institutions, etc.
